Chocapic Drive

We did this 30 second commercial for Nestle’s Chocapic as another collaboration with Be Animation. We did all the CGI; the 3D backgrounds, vehicles, VFX and compositing, they did all the 2D cel shaded character animation. Surprisingly the client was worried about the driving appearing too dangerous. Never mind the fact that a dog is driving and fires live guided missiles at a truck!

To coincide with the release of this innovative Xbox Kinect title from Capcom, we produced a 90 second trailer in conjunction with Maverick Media. Beginning with a green-screen studio shoot, the actor was filmed using a Red Epic camera at 5K resolution to provide the best possible plate for keying and camera tracking. A CG living room interior was created, which as the actor makes Kinect control gestures morphs into the WW2-like Vertical Tank cockpit. The cockpit was entirely remodelled to higher resolution and surfaces recreated. The trailer is intercut with scenes captured from the actual Xbox game.

We recently completed a 20 second French commercial for Nestles Chocapic cereal – integration of traditional cel animated character with a fully rendered 3D background. In collaboration with Be Animation, who did the cel animation, cereal bowl and product shots.

Super League titles now in stereo 3D

The Super League titles have been completely re-rendered in stereo 3D; the first titles sequence to appear in full 3D on Sky Sports! See them from this Friday.

This is the promo/teaser for Sky Sports’ presentation of the Engage Super League. The rugby player in the armoured suit is Sam Tomkins from Wigan Warriors, laser scanned after a training session (thanks, Sam!) resulting in a 3D model of his head, service provided by James Busby at Ten24.
